Cop approaches box on side of the road and finds 10-week-old puppy lying beside it
When Deputy Earl Hanners was out on an 87-degree day in Georgia, California, he received a call about an abandoned puppy found in a box.
A passerby who discovered the box on the side of the road, straightaway called 911 after finding a dog left inside it.
Some other cop responded to the call as Earl was occupied by a car accident case, but Earl immediately went to help the dog after finishing his work.
The dog was still lying at the same position beside the box when Earl reached the location.
Hanners told the officer to cancel the call to animal control and that he would take the pup to a vet. He, later on, named her Bridget and brought her home.
Hanners fed the pup with food and water and let her relax before calling the vets home.
It was then when Earl fell in love with this furball and decided to keep her instead!
Earl, who fosters dogs for a local rescue group called Hounds in Pounds is a passionate dog lover! Although Bridget isn’t her first rescue dog, he surely loves her dearly.
He made sure this little pup is vaccinated and healthy before introducing her to his 8 rescue dogs.
Although they couldn’t figure out who abandoned this adorable pup, Bridget, fortunately, found Earl and now has a forever home. They all now live together merrily like a family!
