VIDEO AT THE END.

Buddha was initially a stray dog rescued by the rescue team of Hope for Paws which is a non-profit animal rescue organization based in Los Angeles, California. Buddha is a Pit Bull who was found scared and terrified in a corner of neighborhood after being injured from the stones thrown at him by children. He was hiding away from people and was starving. He was wounded on his shoulder and was bleeding but was allowing nobody near him.

It was then the rescue team of Hope for Paws got an urgent call about him. Two members of the team went to see him. He was frightened cuddled in a corner until they fed him and gave him some water to drink. It took them an hour of patience and tolerance to pursue him and get him comfortable with them. They treated him with care and love which soothed and relieved the dog after the cruelty he has encountered from the neighborhood children. Eventually, the Pit Bull allowed them to take him in and was then named Buddha.

Hence it is very important to teach children to love and respect animals. Also, it has been mentioned by National PTA Congress that “Children trained to extend justice, kindness, and mercy to animals become more just, kind, and considerate in their relations to each other. Character training along these lines will result in men and women of broader sympathies; more humane, more law-abiding, in every respect more valuable citizens.” If children would not have thrown stones at Buddha he would not have suffered so much and ended up in such a pitiable condition. Accordingly children should be taught to treat animals with admiration, tenderness, and warmth; after all, they are living beings as well.
